The printed hardcover edition of Haskell Programming from First Principles is, as far as I know, being printed now. "AFAIK" because I just got back from a two week trip to visit my wife's family. Much of her family hasn't seen our son yet and her grandmother had some health scares recently so we made an impromptu trip. I drove a total of ~40-50 hours over the last two weeks.

The current status is that I'm waiting for the printer to tell me the prints are done and that they're shipping them to my logistics partner. I have signed off on the proofs. I have made the 50% down payment with the printer and I've paid the logistics partner in full for the estimated shipping and handling costs from the list of orders I sent them.

I called the printer yesterday (Friday, July 9th) at 3 pm my time and 4 pm their time. They didn't answer but I'm not that surprised, a lot of American businesses are sleepy on Friday afternoons, especially in the summer. I'll follow up with them next week and update this blog post with what I learn. I can't guarantee an ETA because I can't make them go faster but my honest guess would be books shipping at the end of the month.

I hope this answers the questions people have been asking.

Cheers,
Chris Allen
